After nearly 8 years of dating, Natalie & Jake finally became husband & wife on Saturday at the Old North State Club! At every wedding, I always notice that the groom fiddles with his new wedding band. When I asked Jake if it felt weird, he said “it feels right, like it was meant to be there the whole time.” Like his wedding ring, these two were always meant to be!
With every wedding that I shoot, I never get tired of hearing a couple’s love story, especially if they’ve been together as long as Natalie & Jake have! Even the officiant and the father of the bride talked about their friendship in dating, and how it’s always been the two of them together. Before the first look, I could tell Jake was nervous. But once he saw this girl, all nerves fell away and he was so ready for the day! Oh but that didn’t stop him from tearing up watching her walk down the aisle to him on that perfect sunny day in August.
Their wedding day was full of fun and laughter, and was truly a celebration of the love these two share. I was in awe all day of the ways in which they continued to love & serve those around them, even on their wedding day! They are the kindest souls and their families were no different. We felt like family all day and were so honored to be there to capture all the precious moments from their day. It was the perfect start to their lives together. To Mr. & Mrs.Wilburn!!
