Kelly & Hunter had the wedding of their dreams on Saturday at Alexander Homestead in Charlotte! Family & friends from all over the country travelled to see this sweet couple finally become Mr. & Mrs. Gossett! Their day was packed with emotional moments, tons of laughter, and lots and lots of dancing!

Y’all I have to tell you, I’ve been looking forward to this day ever since I met Kelly & Hunter at their engagement session last year. I travelled down to Greenville for their shoot, and we ate dinner after the shoot to get to know each other. I think we closed them out because we stayed and chatted that long! Immediately they felt like old friends who’s wedding I was happening to photograph! They’re the type of people who gives hugs like they mean it and remind you that there are still some honest-to-goodness kind souls left out there!

This whole journey started for them in April of 2018 when cancelled flights to England derailed a whole trip. But Hunter still had some tricks up his sleeve during a hike in the mountains. As she was resting on a nearby rock enjoying the view, Hunter got down on one knee and popped the question. The wind was so loud that he never actually heard her say yes, but she hugged him tightly and the rest was history!

There were so many special moments during their wedding day that made it so memorable. Before the ceremony even began, the couple shared a prayer around the corner where they prayed for their marriage and their lives together. Kelly handed Hunter a small letter and a gift following the prayer, and even I teared up later when I saw what she had given him! She put pictures in a locket for him to wear of people who had passed and could not be at the wedding. Most notably, Hunter’s twin brother who had passed away when they were younger. Technically that was Hunter’s best man. That was such a sweet way for her to honor his brother on such an important day.

The ceremony was hot but beautiful and they were too overjoyed to cry a single tear! The whole congregation was cheering even before the ceremony started! And the celebration went well into the evening with tons of dancing, even by the eldest grandparents who boogied on the dance floor with their grandchildren!

It was the perfect wedding and the best way for them to start their lives together as husband & wife. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Gossett!
