You invest so much time, energy, money into your day that you need to have someone who can rise to the occasion of capturing your wedding day to highlight both the big moments and small details to make sure you can cherish these forever.

Gracious & professional enough that your mom will love me, yet fun enough that your bridal party will too.

My photography focuses on joyful celebrations, tender moments, and intricate details by creating images full of life & authenticity.

I’m not a transactional photographer — I strive to connect with my clients so they feel more like friends. When you connect with the person behind the camera, that’s when your true self can shine in front of it!

For the tender moments.

I’ve spent the last ten years perfecting my craft to be able to serve you with graciousness & kindness, professionalism & poise.

let's be friends →

I’m just like you. I’m a southern girl who loves her family & filling her walls with precious memories.

In September of 2018, I became a wife to the boy I fell in love with at 16. And in September of 2021, I became a momma to the most precious little redheaded girl who’s transformed my life. To be able to love them both is the greatest gift and my love for them inspires so much of my work. Our life is joyful, busy, messy, and fun! We live just outside of Winston-Salem and love a good mountain weekend in Boone!

THE WHOLE POINT OF TAKING pictures IS SO THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO explain THINGS WITH words.

My family has a cabin tucked away in the mountains of Boone, and my App State friends and I love reuniting up there every summer. There’s no tv, internet, and hardly any cell service. The forced disconnection allows for authentic time together sitting on the front porch and remembering our time on the mountain.

New mommas get it. Those sweet squishy cuddles in the first couple of weeks are some of the best. That time goes by so fast but slowing down to just love them on the outside of you is so precious and the best feeling in the world. That’s why I just love photographing newborns within those first several weeks because they’re still so sleepy & small!

Life can get busy, especially with little ones taking up so much of your time or wedding planning distracting you from the bigger picture. It’s so important to slow down and reconnect with your partner whenever possible! Remember to prioritize each other even in the hard seasons! We love a good sushi date night out and splitting a bottle of bubbly makes it even better!!

learn about the experience →

After my husband and I got married in 2018, we decided to move back to the Winston-Salem area and that summer we bought our first house. I officially became a full time wedding photographer!

2019 - WENT FULL TIME!

I was shooting portrait sessions, second shooting a wedding, or photographing an MMP wedding almost every weekend. I freelanced in commercial studios during the week. In June of 2016, Maggie Mills Photography LLC was officially filed with the state.

2016 - Graduated and moved to the queen city

I was finally engaged to the love of my life and planned my dream wedding. Despite being in the wedding industry, it was so eyeopening just how many details - big & small - make up a wedding! So when I tell you I totally get the stress of wedding planning, I really do!

2018 - planned my own wedding

While getting my degree in Commercial Photography at App State, I started booking clients and second shooting for other wedding photographers.

2013 - MMP was created

MMP Through the Years

I became a momma in September to the most beautiful little redhead, Emilia Grace, and my heart hasn’t been the same since. I changed my approach to my business because my time is valued differently now and I am selective with the amount of weddings & sessions I take on to be able to still devote my time to being Emi’s mom.

2021 - I became a mom

I've had a camera in my hand since I was 13
