Not only do I love capturing sweet moments in families’ lives, but I also love to photograph small businesses and allow for photography to help them grow into their vision and goals! I’ve been photographing Full Life Counseling for a couple of years now, and it’s been great to see their transformation and growth over time. So excited to share with y’all the images we were able to capture for them!
“Full Life Counseling & Recovery exists to provide professional services to individuals and families affected by self-destructive behavior such as alcohol abuse, drug abuse, medication misuse, self-injury, or process addictions.
Full Life counselors seek to guide individuals and families through the maze of treatment providers, through the change process during treatment, and along the long-term path towards sustainable, joyful recovery.
We invite each individual to pursue life to the fullest — without the burden of addiction, despair or fear holding you back. Full Life Counseling is here to serve and support each individual and their family so that they may achieve their own definition of “a full life.” But just like the fingerprint, each individual is unique. It’s your definition of a full life that matters most of all.”
FLC was founded in 2008 in one little office by Ginny Mills. Coincidence? I think not, that’s my mom! After returning my Mexico, she decided to put her vision into action by creating her own counseling business. It hasn’t been an easy journey but it has grown into something truly powerful. It started in one small office room, then they added a second. Suddenly they were renting half of an office building in West End in Winston-Salem, and now they’ve purchased a beautiful building all for themselves! They’ve also extended out to the Raleigh area where they offer weekly groups for relapse prevention. In addition, they’ve added several sober living options for those looking for support and community following their time in treatment.
This new building is a lot of change, but it is change for growth and success. It’s crazy to believe that something that started in one little room and a big dream has turned into something bigger than anyone would have imagined. Lives have been changed and saved, and hope is made known to everyone who walks through these doors. What an honor it was to photograph such an amazing business, and I cannot wait to see the ways it will continue to grow and transform over the years. Mom, you’ve done good and you’ve done well.
Lord knows she hasn’t built it all alone. The team they’ve created has given them the unique strength and ability to reach and serve as many people as possible who have struggled with addiction. They provide hope, comfort, support, and guidance during scary times for their clients and their families. Their goal is to “help individuals and families achieve their own definition of “a full life” with the belief that a full life can only be achieved when our lives are free from addiction, despair and fear.”
FLC thank you for giving me the honor of photographing your business throughout the years. I cannot wait to see what y’all will do next!
