For years I have seen the magic that creatives produce when they come together for a styled shoot, and I finally had the chance to do one of my own! Together we were able to create something incredible with the help of some incredible vendors and models. And oh my goodness, y’all, is this couple just too cute to handle! From beautiful green florals and decor, to the rising mountains as this sweet couple cuddled up together in the cold, this styled shoot is definitely one for the books!

Months prior to this shoot, I had met with Leanna Ferguson, an App student who had just started the Rising Tide Society group in Boone! As I was eager to learn more about the group, we met over coffee and discussed the struggles of building a creative business as a student. Leanna designs and produces wedding decorations under Pep n Pop and has recently also started an event planning business as Peachy Blooms! We chatted about our dreams and where we saw our businesses going over the next several years. I mentioned that I was shooting my senior portfolio centered around weddings & bridals, and that I would love to collaborate some time together! Thus the idea of the styled shoot was born! Together we hustled to find a date that would work best, a couple, a dress, florals, a cake, and a venue. As this was our first styled shoot together, it definitely was a challenge trying to get everything together, but once the day was here it all seemed so seamless.

On a cold windy Sunday, we met at the Inn at Crestwood, a beautiful wedding venue, inn, and restaurant overlooking the rolling mountains of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Leanna provided the decorations, florals, and styling as Pep n Pop & Peachy Blooms. Nina McCullough provided hair and makeup, and Did Someone Say Party in Boone provided the beautiful wedding dress! What an incredible experience this was to come together and create something beautiful. And did I not tell you that this couple is totally swoon worthy?! All the heart eyes, y’all! Big shout out to our vendors listed below!
