Triple J Manor House Wedding

They’re married!! Sam & JD tied the knot under a pergola draped in white this past Saturday in front of their family & friends! After dating since high school, these love birds waited a long time for the day to finally arrive. JD was so adamant that he didn’t want to see Sam before the ceremony, and his face when he saw his bride was priceless! Their wedding was full of joy and celebration as these two finally became husband & wife!

I’ve known Sam for many years, so when she contacted me to photograph her wedding, I was over-the-moon!! She was my first client ever and started Maggie Mills Photography. So everything came full circle this past weekend as I captured the moment she and JD started their happily ever after. When we arrived to the Triple J Manor house, we found Sam and the girls upstairs in the beautiful bridal suite where they were getting all dolled up for the day. Sam greeted us with hugs and nervous laughs as she paced the upstairs. Anticipation and nerves filled the suite as time drew closer. Her mom and grandma helped her into her dress and her bridesmaids put in her veil and put on her shoes. She wore her grandmother’s sapphire ring on her right hand to keep a piece of her throughout the day.  And just like that, she was ready to get married! Her nerves were instantly quelled when she held JD’s hand and they exchanged letters to each other. That’s how you know they’re best friends: when their presence and touch can calm all anxieties and give them immense peace.

The time had arrived for Sam & JD to finally be married, and guests filled the seats and the music started. The aisle of the venue stretches from the house all the way down to the ceremony site, so JD was turned around until Sam was at the top of the aisle. His mother fell open as he saw his bride walking towards her and Sam beamed as she approached him. JD was so anxious to marry his best friend that he said “I will!” before the pastor even prompted him!! That got a good laugh out of folks to see the excitement that he had to finally make her his wife. Sealed with a kiss, they’re married!

Onto the reception they went where they visited with old friends and hugged family members who traveled for the event. They danced the night away with their best friends at a party that seemed to never end, and then were sent off with sparklers and got into her grandfather’s classic restored coach! It was a magical day that was the perfect beginning to their happily ever after. Congratulations, Sam & JD!
