I met Nicole & Taylor at the Big Fake Wedding event I attended a couple of months ago, and they were the recipients of an engagement session giveaway! Little did I know that the giveaway shoot would end up being one of my favorite engagement sessions to date! Taylor suggested Freedom Park, and while I hadn’t shot there before, I was excited to explore the park with this sweet couple. I was floored when I saw the rolling green fields and the low willow tree branches dipping into the water. Who knew that such a beautiful park would be right in the heart of Charlotte!

When I met Nicole & Taylor at the BFW, we immediately clicked and I knew that they were my kinda people! They were so sweet to talk to and I could tell they were so excited for their wedding. To be honest, some people would stop by and chat in order to enter their names to win the shoot, but Nicole & Taylor were different. They were genuinely interested in me and my business, and I loved chatting with them about their wedding. So when the random chooser picked them as the winners, I was stoked! I remembered them immediately and knew it was just meant to be! And the engagement session proved just that. Turns out Taylor just got his Masters degree in Accounting from Wake Forest University, located in my home town of Winston-Salem! While they are both from Hickory and are planning their wedding in Hickory, they both graduated from UNCC and are settling their lives here in the Queen City. They were so personable and easy to talk to, just like the first time I met them. Between the beautiful warm summer light and their adorable chemistry, this shoot was nothing short of magical.
