The heat and bugs from a June evening in the South could not keep these two love birds from cuddling close during their engagement session last week! Lauren & Steven are getting married next January in Rock Hill and I had the joy of hanging out with them for a bit to capture their sweet love! A modern day romance with Southern flare mixed in, this couple has the coolest story!! My favorite is the story of how Steven proposed, y’all THIS is how you do it!

They love to go fishing together and Steven took her to Catawba lake where they had their first date! He planned a little picnic for them with a tent and table and wine for them to enjoy by the river. After about an hour, she heard something coming up behind her and saw Steven’s dog running towards them. She had a sign around her neck that said “Will you marry my daddy?” and Lauren’s 3 month old puppy was right beside her with a sign around her neck that said “Yes!” She turned around to see him on one knee and he asked her to marry him. AMAZING, RIGHT?! I love that their pups are part of their proposal story, and right before their engagement session they found a stray black lab in the road! Thankfully they found him a home. I just love this dog-loving duo and had such a great time with them at the shoot!
