Well folks, they did it!! They’re finally married and it was the most joyous celebration! Hannah & Evan officially tied the knot this past Saturday at Merrimon-Wynne and had the time of their lives celebrating with their most special people. It was quite a day and I felt so incredibly honored to capture it first hand. Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Altizer! 

You might have read about this on my instagram, but this wedding was an extra special for me and one that I’ve been looking forward to for a long time! You see, Evan & I grew up together and we’re basically like cousins! Mom went to college with his parents and we make up part of our Wake Forest family that has gathered once a year at my family’s cabin for 30+ years! We met Hannah one Labor Day Weekend when she braved the Wake Forest family and we were all in awe of her charm, wit, and tenderness towards Evan. She’s the spitfire to his mellow nature and they balance each other out beautifully. We knew it was only a matter of time before a ring was on her hand and they would promise each other forever. They just fit! 

And when Hannah approached me early on into wedding planning to talk about wedding photography, I was so honored! I knew her style was impeccable and so would be the wedding! We talked through details and they wanted me to also enjoy in the fun, so we planned on me photographing everything before ceremony and then joining my family for the rest of the evening. It was the best of both worlds to be able to photograph all of the pretty things and then let down my hair (literally!) and dance with my hubby! 

I learned through this that Hannah is so thoughtful and intentional, and really value the little details of going the extra mile for those she loves. She hand-wrote notes to each guest on their escort cards for crying out loud!!! She planned the most beautiful wedding day that was so thought-out and beautifully executed, and it was the perfect start the rest of their lives as husband and wife! Cheers to the happy couple!!
